medicaid only covers some treatments and with only select dentists. idk about your state but in virginia theres a dental insurance bundled with the main insurance (like unicare or anthem healthkeepers, etc.) called doral dental
they are the ones that choose the dentists that you can go to without paying for their services so to answer your question yes only with certain dentists.
its harder to get more complicated procedures covered though such as braces root canals, etc. but they will cover check ups and fillings
