My teeth have been killing me for the last 5 months when i brush them and they look fine and have no cavities?

everytime i brush my teeth its very painful i used to brush my teeth 2 times a day but only 1 now because it is so painful. I have no pains while eating though. Just 1 week ago i went to the dentist and had x-rays and they said i have no cavities this pain has been going on for the last 5-6 months if anyone has an idea of what is causing this please reply. thanks

if you are using toothpaste with whitening agents in it stop. it causes tooth sensitivity. just stick with paste like Crest original. if i use toothpaste with whitening agents i get very sensitive teeth. i use regular old toothpaste and my problems are gone. also floss every day. good luck.
