Which orthodontic procedure would be best for 3mm open bite?!

Question:

Which orthodontic procedure would be best for 3mm open bite?

my daughter is 15 years old, and has a 3 mm open bite in her front teeth. before getting braces, i went to see two different orthodontists, to compare, and i got 2 completly different procedures. the first oprthodontist wanted to put on braces for 2 years, as well as pull out two of the back teeth. the second orthodontist wanted to pull no teeth, but to put in implants (metal screws) as well as braces to pull back the upper teeth. i have no idea which is better, although the second orthodontist gave an estimated time of 6 months less than the first. if anyone could give me any imput or background inforamtion that would be great.

Answers:

Honestly, I'd go with the first dentist. I assume they are the baby teeth that the first wants to pull. The first orthodontist will be much cheaper. And by the way, in order to have implants, you have to have a missing tooth, so there is something to replace. She would have them pulled anyway. But, do what you think is best. Or get a third opinion.
