Should I get braces now or get them in middle school?!
Question: Ok, I'm 12 years old and my mom is asking me if I want to get them now or a year later.(even though I don't want them,she's making me) I don't want them! So I'm thinking about a year later? But I don't know! Help me!?

if you wait, then you have crooked teeth longer, and braces aren't THAT bad.
get them over and done with, so you don't have them all through middle school.
Do it NOW. Especially since you DON'T want them....the sooner you get them on, the sooner you can get them OFF!! You will be so happy you got them in the future, I can PROMISE you that.
Just go ahead and get it over with. Having them younger is much better as long as you follow through with retainers because your teeth will still shift. I would suggest a permanent retainer after. But...I had them in high school and WOW did I take some bad pictures because of it!!! My senior pictures I still had them!
I would get them now. I have braces and I am 28. You feel weirder as yu get older and when you are 17,18, you don't want to still have them when you're cruising in your car and you smile at some guy!!! hehe. They take a while to work , so the sooner you start the process, the better.. Good luck, you'll have a smile to die for!
don't do it is my opinion...my little brother whom is sitting right beside me had teeth as crooked as hell lol, and my mom waited till his adult teeth came in and they straightened up pretty good...granted he still needs braces, but I recommend that you wait till you have all your adult teeth in from six months to a year before getting braces. P.S. my mom works in a dental lab and practiced as a detail assistant for ten years. hope that helps.

Go ahead to get your braces done as soon as possible, because your teeth is more easier to be straight and get it done faster when you are younger. Make an appointment for consultation now and start it as possible as you can. ^_^...
