You don't HAVE to. But, you have ot make sure you don't swollow any of it. Its a good idea to just rinse your mouth out with a little water afterwards, if you would like to whiten your teeth, rinse your mouth with hydrogen peroxide everyday, for 30 secounds. I use it maybe if i've eaten something after i've brushed my teeth. To freshen it up again. You just use the mouthwash. Don't swallow. And that's it

Never rinse out your mouthwash because you will need to rinse for 30 sec with mouthwash to remove plaque.
