Help my 17 month won't brush!?!
Question: I have such a hard time brushing my son's teeth! He clenches his jaws and won't open up. I don't want him to have rotten teeth, but I don't know how to clean them. What can I do to get his teeth clean?

Get a timer and set it for a minute or two and make a game out of it. Have him see if he can keep brushing until the bell sounds.If he does he gets a story or some other treat.
Or Have him "race" the timer he must have all teeth shiny and bright before the bell.
you could tell him like if u you don't brush, a monster or somthing would get him and if he brushes, the monsrter would not go for him
Let him do it, buy the cute character toothbrush, put a small dab of toothpaste and he can do it, then when he is done playing quickly finish the job.
You can try by teaching him to brush his own teeth. Maybe that is what he is wanting to learn to do on his own. Show him by brushing your teeth with your toothbrush.
