When you get your braces "tightened" all that's being done, is a wire change. You will have your wire changed to a new fresh one. Sometimes it's a little bigger or stiffer. It will pick up where the old wire left off and your teeth will continue to move. That is what makes you sore. The process of having your wire changed is very easy so don't worry. I change people's wires all day every day!
