Why does it hurt more to get the bottom wisdom teeth out than the top?!
Question:
Why does it hurt more to get the bottom wisdom teeth out than the top?
Answers:
The upper jaw is in one piece with the rest of your head, do when the dentist applies pressure to get the tooth out your upper jaw stays in place. But when he applies that kind of pressure to the lower jaw, it gives a little. That's a lot of pressure on the joint and will be more uncomfortable afterwards. Also in the lower jaw you have a large nerve branch that comes up right around or behind the lower wisdom teeth. Sometimes the lower wisdom tooth presses on that nerve and that can hurt much more than at the top.
