Wisdom tooth extraction....?!

Question: I had an upper wisdom tooth taken out yesterday morning. They have been taking them out 1 by 1 because I bleed to much. So this last one wa really bad it hurt alot and now I have this weird taste in my mouth and my mouth always feels like dry. I have some saliva that is a light brown with little bits of blood in it.

Could that just be from a tea bag that I used to stop the bleeding?

I have Ibuo profins, tylenol 3 and chlora hexidine mouth rinse plus I am using another antibacterial mouth rinse and rinsing with salt water.

I had two wisdom teeth pulled a while back I had brownish saliva for up to a week it was blood that accumulated and when I purged the saliva out the saliva would come out brownish. Your mouth might be dry cause you might not be drinking enough liquids and the weird taste might be due to the blood or tea bags that you are using. They told me after they took my wisdom teeth out that I shouldn't spit for a couple of days I shouldn't drink from a straw in about 72 hours and to not use any mouthwash of any kind except salt with water to rinse the area for about a week. I followed the dentist instructions to the letter and I got better after 2 or 3 weeks. Ibuprofen worked great for me just dont mix them with tylenol or you can get a reaction. Good Luck I feel your pain I went through it myself.

Your still tasting the blood, did they do stitches?
check to see if you are infecting.. call your dentist for more instructions.

Please, make sure that you are supposed to be rinsing your mouth that soon after surgery.

Stop the ibupropin & the mouth wash. Rinse often with salt water & take tylenol for the pain. The mouth wash is likely drying out your mouth.

You shouldn't still be using a tea bag for the bleeding as it should have stopped by now. You might be pulling off the "seal" at the site of the extraction with the tea bag. You have to let a "seal" form or it won't heal.

Keep drinking lots of water to keep your mouth moist.

my advice would be to call and tell your dentist about the problems your having because it may have some infection or maybe a dry socket

Stop rinsing so much. You need to let the extraction site clot over. If you have a bad taste in your mouth and its dry, you may have a dry socket. Contact them today before they close for the weekend and ask them if what you are telling us is normal.
