Have i got bruxism or tmj?!
Question: hi i have been getting slight toothache radiating around mouth for around a month now, also everyso often have a sudden sharp pain in ear, and a dull headache from time to time,and now and then shoulder pain, i have been told i grind my teeth at night time and i suffer alot from stress, and suffer anxiety attacks, also i had a wisdom tooth out 6 months ago and my teeth are uneven, i have brought a mouthguard today as i thought it were wortha go,
it fits very loosly and moves down off my teeth slightly when i talk, plz help

dont go to the store and buy a mouth gaurd .. they arent good and they dont help your grinding.. you need somthing called an occlusal guard/ bite splint ... made at the dentist.. the store kind of mouth gaurd can do more damage. i work at a dentist office and my father is a dentist.. he agrees....you need something that is made exactly to your teeth .. if not you can be hurting yourself more.....

i too get anxiety ... and have to wear a bite gaurd because i grind my teeth ..... and get the worst headaches without it.. i also had the worst shoulder pain. ....

see your GP get some thing ie medication or self help/counseling etc for your anxiety attacks and stress, and hopefully your grinding of teeth is from that so if we treat the stress etc, then teeth will be ok, but i'd also get sharp pain in ear and dull headache checked out as well, coz that doesn't to good and maybe something serious
