If I had only one choice, should I floss or brush?!
Question:
If I had only one choice, should I floss or brush?
Sometimes I feel lazy and I don't feel like flossing and brushing. Which one is more important?
Answers:
Brush for sure. When you brush, you will be able to clean the majority of the tooth surfaces. When you brush, though, be sure to brush both the facial surface (side facing the your cheeks) and the labial surface (side facing the tongue). Flossing is great for cleaning the interproximal spaces (spaces in between the teeth), but these are the least likely surfaces to develop decay unless you just never take care of your teeth and decide never to floss. Try to brush AND floss as often as possible, but if you had to choose, I would always choose to brush first.
