Just to relax you, I am 14 years old and had mine taken out when I was 12. The orthodontist said that if I was going to get braces, I had to have surgery underneath my gums because I had a tooth that was stuck under it. They also decided to take my wisdom teeth out while they were at it. It didn't hurt so bad. They knocked me out when I had the surgery. I don't know about you, but when I woke up when they were doing the surgery, it didn't hurt at all.. I guess the medicine kicked in. I recovered happily. I ate liquid foods for about 2-3 weeks. Such as ice cream, soup, and jell-o. So if you're a jell-o lover, than you are fine!! I got my braces off November 23 of last year. I'm so happy but I am now stuck with a retainer for 8-9 months. After that I still have to sleep with it in for the same period of time. But don't worry, I assure you everything will be fine. Good luck and don't worry about it. It hurts after the medicine stops working, but it doesn't hurt that bad. Trust me. Talk to me after you've got it done and tell me how it went. I'll be glad to hear your recovery!

many ppl hav their wisdom teeth removed; there is nothing to worry about. if anything i would relate it to getting a tooth pulled out at the dentist office. they give u a shot in ur mouth to numb u ( the shot didnt hurt 4 me when i got 2 teeth pulled out) and they pull it out and u dont feel a thing cept ur mouth bein numb. hope this helps!

I was scared too but remember it doesn't hurt it just pressure.
My recovery wasn't too bad either you just have to eat soft foods for a few days . Practice relaxation breathing before you go If you don't know how learn this will help alot .

I'm surprised I was calm right before I had my wisdom teeth extracted. I was comfortale with the oral surgeon, and felt at ease with him so... and I'm always nervous when I'm about to have anything done with my teeth, even just teeth cleaning.

Just try not to think about it too much, try to stay calm and relaxed.
