How much toothpaste must be swallowed to cause a sodium fluoride overdose?!

Question:

How much toothpaste must be swallowed to cause a sodium fluoride overdose?

I recently brushed my teeth (with Auqa Fresh) and I fear that I might have swallowed some of it, and it contains sodium fluoride. How much toothpaste would have to be swallowed to induce a toothpaste overdose?

I really appreciate your help.

Answers:

There is no real fluoride "overdose". If you eat too much fluoride or toothpaste you will feel sick and maybe throw up. If you have all your permanent teeth now (adult teeth) then there is no risk of fluorosis (which is a mottled/ strange appearance when your adult teeth come in). So if you are older than 12 then dont worry about it.
You have to swallow tons of toothpaste to feel sick or have dental problems (on teeth that havent come in yet).

Always use only a PEA sized amount on a toothbrush when brushing. The tv show 20/20 did a report a few years back about how much toothpaste to use when brushing. And they found out only a pea sized amount for adults and kids is needed. The toothpaste commericals show a huge ribbon of paste because they are trying to SELL the toothpaste so they want you to be able to see it.
