Braces help?

Hi I am 16 years old and have been told by the orthodontist that I need braces where elestic bands will attach my upper teeth to my lower teeth. I am very worried as I am a teenager now and I am scared I will be taken the mick of. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thankyou.

does anyone know what these type of braces are called they are not train tracks.

Hey, I'm 17 and I've had every brace you can think of (train tracks, headbrace for nights and I've now got a retainer for nights) I've never had the mick taken out of me. I also had the bands and they are fine as well but just remember to take them out before you eat cos I accidentally ate one of mine lol.

My teeth are soo much better now and feels rele could when you can just smile loads with perfect teeth so don't worry about it they aren't as bad as they seem! :)

Are you sure they aren't train tracks cos the bands I had that sound like the ones you are getting were connected to my train tracks - but if you are sure they aren't train tracks which you probably are then I don't know what brace you're getting, sorry.
