ooh, that's a good question! when I suture up gingiva (aka "gums") i usually check on them in a week, and then 80% of them come out at that 1 week follow up visit.

HOWever...

if you had a frenectomy, part of the issue is making sure that that tissue STAYS separated! you don't want it regrowing there, and frenums have a really huge "wish" to be reunited! lol...

so they may have to keep the stitches in longer due to that factor.

If you're asking cuz your stitches came OUT, you'll want to call your doc ASAP to let them know.

If they didn't tell you how long, shame on them. :)
