Should I go to a surgeon and be put sleep, or should I let the dentist remove them in the office?
Answers:
It depends on your threshold of pain and how deep your pockets are. Having teeth pulled with only the aid of Novocaine is a terrible ordeal. Teeth breaking, gum tearing, nerves snapping, jaw stretching. I believe I have been permanently traumatized by such an experience. Unfortunately, I have had molars and wisdom teeth extracted by both methods, if you can afford it, I highly recommend general anesthesia at a reputable oral surgeon. If you must have teeth pulled conscience, I highly recommend finding a dentist who can provide nitrous-oxide (NO2). Either way make sure you are provided sufficient pain killers for at least several days dosing. In my experience dentist tend to minimize expected pain. Good luck!
