I just got my wisdom teeth cut out this morning. They put me to sleep. When will the numbness go away???

I am still numb! And it is 3 PM. I had it done at 10. I cannot take my pain medicine because I am so numb. The dentists office said it should go away sometime this evening and that I should try my best to take the medicine anyway. I am also supposed to be taking an antibiotic too.
When you had yours done, how long were you numb? I am mostly numb on my tougne, bottom lip, and chin, and cheeks and ears.

I had my wisdom teeth extracted last Tuesday, and it took I think around 4-5 hours after they finished, for my face to feel normal again, although I was still really groggy from the stuff that they ran through my I.V.

Take you pain pill as soon as your able too, I don't know if it will be the same for you, but I was hurting (badly) once the numbness wore off. Hope this helps, and hope you have a speedy recovery!
