Fer of dentist treatments?
has anyone been given a sedative tablet before dentist does work on teeth and how did you find it i am to take one and then he will inject gums and pull 3 top back teeth.now i have a big phobia of dentist he tells me it will relax me but what i want to know is has anyone tryed it and how did they feel

Having teeth taken from the top isn't too bad at all - the bottom ones are much worse as they are set into the jaw. I had a wisdom tooth removed from the top and my dentist new I was really nervous. He suggested that he talk me through every single thing he did literally, "I have put the plyers on your tooth, I am twisting it, the tooth is loosening, I am going to pull it out now" It really helped as I knew what was going on. I had no swelling and minimal bleeding. I would not have a sedative myself - I prefer to be fully aware of what is going on. Be brave - take a ipod or something with you to listen to.
