I've had my braces for over a year now. It takes about 30-45 min depending on how fast your orthodontist is. Its just some simple bonding/drying and adding the wires. Its not painful (dont know if id even call it painful...) (about a 2) to get them done but it will take a few days to get used to the feeling. You might have some irritation pain since the braces will be moving your teeth and you are bound to get sores in your mouth from the brackets (your mouth will get used to them and they will go away) just keep wax with you at ALL times. Each time you go for a tightening or wire change your mouth will be sore once again but nothing that you cant deal with..just the typical irritation. Take some tylenol or ibprofen before you get them done and keep easy to eat foods like soups around when you get them done and each time you get the wire changed or tightend. I will warn you..when you get them, try not to play with them alot with your tounge or you will scar your tounge up horribly by the time you get them off. After you get them, the irritation will last a few days and getting used to them all together will take about a week..but then they're nothing. I wish you the best of luck! God Bless

Things might have changed since I had braces but braces didn't really bother me except when I would go back for regular visits and have them tightened or adjusted. When I had headgear on or put on new rubber bands on the backs, I would say that it was like gnashing of teeth for me for a few hours. During that time I would rate the pain as 8. Otherwise it would be 2. Hope this helps
It depends on how much they are being tightened at a time. Some months, my braces didn't hurt at other. Other months, I couldn't eat solid foods for a week.
Its been so long since I had braces, I can't remember how long it took to get them put on.

They only hurt when you get your wires tightened or if the
brackets scrape your mouth (Then it may be a 6...) When the
brackets do scrape, you can put wax on them.
For me, It took about 30-45 minutes... actually, I didn't notice
that the orthodontist had finished until he told me! It didn't hurt
at all!

Painwise - I'd say 6, but only for a few days after each monthy adjustment. It is more of a discomfort than anything else.
As for putting them on, a few days. They put the brackets on first, and while those "cure" and the epoxy hardens on your teeth they usually provide you with wax to put over them, as they sometimes catch the insides of your cheeks.
After x number of days, you're ready to go back and get the wires attached. And then you'll have a few days of soreness.
Nothing too it...just don't try eating corn on the cob.
yes they hurt not always but sometimes.

I would say maybe about 7.
It takes about an hour and a half.
They put a weird tasting stuff in your mouth, then there are pulls and more pulls. And pushes and it is bits of pain.
I didnt cry....but slow small tears came down my eyes.
You dont know whats going on....well i didnt, because i had my ipod in my ear!!! lol :)

about a 5 but more when you eat they only hurt for a little while and when you get them tightened and if you need spacers, or bands it only took my dentist about 15-20 min to put hem on
um like 2 or 3 maybe?? it hurts when you have the wire to big and it comes out the ends. it will cut the inside of your mouth. it happens to me sometimes. just call for an emergency appointment.it will hurt for the first few days with them though. it will take them a very short time to put them on. Ive had them for a while so i dont remember how long msybe like 15-25 minutes. dont listen to the people who say it takes over an hour they are lying ...... good luck!!
