Bleeding gums?!

Question: Near a tooth where I had a root canal done about 3 years ago has been bleeding recently. I brush at least twice a day with an electric toothbrush. I will use a manual brush if I brush my teeth a 3rd time (in the middle of the day). I floss every day. I go to the dentist for cleanings twice a year. I'm 34. Should I be concerned about this bleeding? I'm due for a cleaning in March. Have you had this problem before? Is it just that I'm getting older? I am flossing like I have before and didn't have this problem. I use mouthwash almost every day. The blood gushes a bit. It does stop so clotting is not a problem. I just don't expect to see it since I floss every day.

SAHARA,
THE RED LINE IS MOST LIKELY CAUSED BY A SMALL AMOUNT OF TARTAR WHICH IS THE SHAPE OF A LINE BELOW THE GUM.
THIS TARTAR MUST BE REMOVED BY THE DENTIST/HYGIENIST WITH SPECIAL INSTRUMENTS BECAUSE IT CLINGS TENACIOUSLY TO TEETH.
AFTERWARD THE GUM WILL RETURN TO A HEALTHY PINK COLOR.

Usually bleeding is from not brushing long enough. You should be brushing 2 minutes each time. Your gums will toughen up. Call a dentist about the red line.

This happens when you get bacteria in the gum area no reason to be alarmed unless it continues for more than a week, if that happens contact your dentist he will have more information to help you. I have had this problem usually goes away in 2 - 4 days. Flossing helps to remove it faster. Bleeding gums is never a god sign though.

Sounds like it could be gingivitis. I'd call your dentist and see if he'd want you to come in special to have it checked, or if he says to wait until your next check-up.

bleeding gums can be a warning and obvious sign that you are under attack by gum disease. be aware that gum disease shows off a warning sign in the advanced stage. have it checked by a dental expert to get proper treatments.

tooth loss can eventually happen if you left gum disease untreated. if do not pay close attention to good oral hygiene then it can result to gum problems. make it a habit to carefully and properly brush and floss teeth every after meal. this can help remove plaque that sticks around teeth. and can fight bad bacteria that can cause oral infections.
