Hi there my problem is recently my teeth have become very sensitive after gettin!

Question:

Hi there my problem is recently my teeth have become very sensitive after getting 2 fillings both on same side

i got small fillings on my left side and my teeth have become very sensitive. i was just wondering if this was normal. before my fillings i could eat or drink anything hot or cold and bite on a brick if i wanted to but now after the fillings they have become sensitive to anything hot or anything cold. they can still take contact but its annoying that i cant enjoy soft drinks or ice creams or nice hot soup. anyway my question is is the pain normal or has the dentist done something wrong. should i contact him again or is there an alternative that i can use. (i started using sensodyne yesterday but i think its going to take a year minimum to heal)

Answers:

Your teeth shouldnt be sensitive at all if the fillings have been done right. Perhaps theres a crack in them. Make a return appointment with the dentist and dont wait too long so that the dentist can redo it if necessary. You shouldnt have to pay again. Only dont let it wait.
