How might I obtain dental work at a lower cost?!

Question: I have had problems with my teeth beginning in childhood. My teeth were so crooked and a stain across my two front teeth. It was so horrible for a child. When I was 19 and could afford to go to the dentist, I had the stains bleached and wore wire braces for 4 years. All along, I have had one problem after the other.Molars removed and root canal with the crown falling off and could not recover it.It seems suspicious that as soon as a filling had been placed it would soon fall out and need to be redone. He put a feeling under the corner side of my right front tooth, told me that it would not show-it does.I need decent suggestions,I would like to keep the teeth I have left. My teeth are so dingy and I feel so ugly and self-conscious.I can not afford caps or veneers. Do you think it would be better to find another dentist, at least for a second opinion.I have space in the back right side from 2teethremoved. 1missing on the rt.back with the other needing the crown replaced. Please help.

If there is a dental school near you, they always need people to train on. So, if you really are worried about costs, that might help. And, yes, I would get a second opinion. Find a good dentist by talking to friends. Also, tell the dentist your issues and ask them to let you make ,monthly payments directly from your checking account or credit card, if you need to spread out the costs.

Dbldiva is right- dental school are a great way to go. Here's a link that shows all US dental schools- check to see if there's one in your area.
