Small bump on roof of mouth?

I've had this small bump on the roof of my mouth for about 3 weeks on and off....its not there one second and I feel it the next. Its really small. Maybe the size of a very small pimple...it does hurt, but I can feel it and its annoying. I had it 3 times last week and this is the only time this week...it only seems to last a day or so...I tired popping it (gross I know) the second time I noticed it and it felt like it popped. But then it was back 10 minutes later....I tried the same thing this time when I got it and it wouldnt pop and its still there. Any ideas on what this could be? Its on the right side not in the middle...closer to my gum area. Sort of where my molar would be but not on my gum...thanks in advance for any answers!

Thanks for the replys. The thing is gone now, I can still feel where it was, but now there is a lump on the top of my mouth, right in the middle..about the size of a small pee....I looked up on yahoo answers and someone posted about this once and said it was cancer?! could it be

Those little pimples you mentioned could lead to sore threat and other possible infections. Please see a doctor for confirmation.

When I had those, I was advise to use an Oral Antiseptic Solution and antibiotics. I used Bactidol then. Make sure to tilt your head upward so the oral antiseptic will get to the back portion of your mouth. Just make sure not to ingest the oral antiseptic.
