Please help! I am 20 years old and I need braces..?!
Question: I am 20 years old and I really need braces. Is it worth it to get them so late? I would probably need them on for 3 years. I will then be around 23 or 24! That is so late! I am worried about how I will look and if I dont like them, it will cost me so much money!

I am 31 and just got braces. I say it is never too late, and the earlier the better. You can look into i-braces, which is what I have. They are on the back side (lingual side) of your teeth so they are not real visible to others. They are more expensive, but worth it if you are worried how you will look.
I am 19 and I have braces. I did get mine when I was 16 though. I know a guy that got braces when he was 21 and got them off when he was 23. 20 is not too old to get braces! If you are truly worried about having braces, get invisalign instead. I prefer braces though since they keep working and I don't have to remember to take them out of put them back in.
I remeber i went to the orthodontist and one of the dentists there had braces and she seemed about maybe her 20's or 30's and she looked really nice in braces. So it wouldnt make you look bad. I had braces twice for 3 years each and i love the results
Oh girl, do worry about getting braces at the age of 20, I have a line-up to get me some next week and I am 23. And I am very excited about it, I think they are fashionable, especially if you get the straight metal ones or the invisalign!!! Good Luck!!
Look calm down hunni who cares about looks in this world i mean once you get them off it will all be worth it you will have nice straight beautiful pearly whites and you will look better then ever no matter how long you have to keep them on i mena my dentists helper is in her 20's and she has braces soo she don't care wut she looks like i mean even with braces she is pritty so i am sure u will be perfectly fine^^

I just got my braces on and I'm 23. I won't be getting mine off for 2 years. I don't think I'm too old to have them.
At first I must admit I had to adjust to seeing them in my mouth, I was a little insecure about them the first couple of days. Now I find myself barely even noticing they are there.
I naturally have a baby face, so I tend to look younger then my actual age. Which means I have to dress a little more sophisticated if I want to look my age!
I am anxiously awaiting to have the smile I've always dreamed about.
Remember you set the standards for how people treat you, so if you like it....everyone else will too.
Don't worry....the time will go by super fast.

if you dont want to have them on your teeth try the invisaline....
they are not noticeable and do the same thing.
