Why does an dental x-ray film turn green.?!

Question:

Why does an dental x-ray film turn green.?

This was a question on a radiology test.

Answers:

According to Mosby's Comprehensive Review of Dental Hygiene it is because "film emulsion not in contact with processing chemicals" and is "corrected by separating double film packets."

Wouldn't this occur if two films got stuck together during processing as well? Don't you just love radiology? :() Hope this answers your question, but honestly it's hard to remember those kind of details!
