If you chew a lot of gum, like a sugar free gum, is there sugar in that gum stil!

Question: will it give you cavities?

what are the side effects of chewing too many gums, besides a tired jaw?

Answers: will it give you cavities?

the "sugar" in it is artificial sweetener, such as splenda or aspartame, very very unhealthy, and you can become quite sick if you have too much. so no it won't give you cavities, but it CAN cause other problems

Sugar free gum contains no sugar, hence the name "sugar free," and will not give you cavities.
However, sugar free gum contains many substances that are possibly cancer causing. They haven't been around forever, so we do not know the long term effects. They also have artificial colors and sweeteners.
A little is okay, but if by "a lot" you mean like a pack a day, that probably isn't good. Won't cause cavities, but isn't natural and healthy by any means.

Sugar free gum is allowed to have a miniscule amount of sugar in it and still be called sugar free.
Sugar free gum may have artificial sweetener in it, which could have a laxative effect in large amounts. Probably more than you would get from chewing gum, though.
