Spacers dental?!
Question: OK, I am getting invisalign soon and the orthodontist put spacers in my teeth and polished down the sides of some of my teeth to make room for the shift.
Now food always gets stuck in between the gaps and my gums are starting to get really irritated. I brush and floss everyday...so any other suggestions?

This is one of the downsides of this kind of orthodontic treatment. The calculation of just how much extra space you need is very precise, but it isn't always right.
If the treatment plan (Clincheck) has been done right the spaces will disappear as the teeth move. One good thing about Invisalign is that you ARE able to brush and floss more effectively than with traditional braces. You may find Proxabrushes easier to use than floss, but esp. if you eat fibrous foods like meat you are going to get food caught for now. If your gums are severely inflamed it may merit a check by your general dentist.
