Question:
What IS a Root Canal?
What exactly IS a root canal??? My friend says that if you get a root canal done that you're going to have a metal or golden tooth or something like that. She says that they pull out your tooth and replace it with a metal tooth. I don't think that's true but I'm not a detist. lol, so what really is a root canal? Is it like getting a filling?

root canal is a procedure that is done by a specialist, its aim is to remove the pain forever.
mainly you don't remove your teeth or it will be extraction of teeth, all what you fell is absolutely nothing, the endodontist removes the nerves and other contents of the root canals of your tooth then he fills it with another fabricated materials.
then you will not have a gold or metal crown, it will be the same of the natural tooth color, the purpose of this crown is to preserve the tooth.
it is not pain full and it has a very good look as if it is yours.
