What is a good toothbrush to use for braces?!

Question:

What is a good toothbrush to use for braces?

Answers:

I always recommend to my patients that they use an electric type brush. My favorite is the Oral B Braun, but Sonicare is good too. The Oral B has a round head, but they also have a pointed one you can purchase for between the teeth. There is also an ortho-type head that fits around brackets. There is usually a 2 min. timer included on the electric brushes. That is nice because most people don't realize that they aren't brushing long enough (less than a minute). Water piks are also good for braces, but they will be messy till you figure out how to manage them. Change heads about every 2-3 months with braces.
