Question: hi i have an abscessed tooth and the dentist has put an antibiotic directly into the root of the tooth, i'm just wondering if you know how long roughly it'd take to get rid of the infection? Thanks

i had a abscessed tooth and my dentist wanted to do a 1,000 dollar root canal asap..
i said not and he pretty much didnt want to see me again.. its been 6 months and the tooth is still fine after antibiotics..
always get a second opinion
takes about 10 days of taking antibiotics but you should see a difference in about 3
Call and ask your dentist...
When I probably had an abscess fall before last, I was given the pink antibiotic medication, not an injection... And that was all those days of taking it until I finished the bottle.
