Muscles work your jaw. Those muscles are simply worn out from the constant activity. Take a break and you'll be fine.

It isn'tbroken. You have irritated the TM joint. Asprin will help the pain, but ibuprofen might work better. Lay off the gum for a while, too.

Advil might help, you may develop a tmj problem if you keep chewing gum for long periods of time, I would say stop for a while and when you jaw goes back to normal just chew one piece for like ten minutes, that's what I do.

maybe you have lock jaw. give it a Rest for awhile. try not to chew on that side. or just eat soup.

give 3m a break or massage them with some kind of oitment

My mom has problems with TMJ and unless she wants to have surgery, she just has to avoid chewing gum.

It's surprising that none of previous answerer's didn't give you advise to stop chewing on gum at all.why do you want to chew on it?didn't like to keep it clean by just regular brush and dental floss kind of thing?if you really want to chew on then chew on some real food.why chewing gum..bad bad American habit...give up please.and good luck.

no just eat soft foods and stop chewing gum
