Lemon Tea bad for teeth?!

Question: I've started taking my tea with a slice of lemon instead of with milk. My mother is worried that the lemon will damage my teeth. My feeling is that given there's so little lemon in so much water that it doesn't affect the acidity of the drink all that much, but I thought I'd ask here. Replies from dental professionals particularly welcome!

I have a friend who sucked on lemons and limes and it took the enamel off her teeth. However, a little juice in your tea will not do that kind of damage. I drink lemon in my water or tea (for 20+ yrs) and my teeth are fine. Be sure to brush at least twice daily and you'll be fine!

I have never heard of lemon damaging your teeth! No, lemon is sooo good for you. It's sugar that damages your teeth, not brushing regally that damages your teeth. It is a good thing your doing for your health by having lemon.
