Will it hurt when they take out my expander?!

Question: I'm 14 and I got an expander for my mouth on monday and i need to have it for 5 months.
When I get it removed will it hurt?

expander, being spaces out your teeth? (spacer)
no way you will love it out, you won't feel as if there's something constantly stuck in between your teeth.
your gums will still be a bit tender though, so drink some tea or eat some icecream after they're out
