Insurence question?!


Question: Ok well I have really bad insurence and I've been trying get braces for some time now, however they denied me. So i appealed and they denied me again. Im only 16 so I dont know what I could do about this. My front tooth is about to fall out, if I dont get braces it will. I went to the dentist yesterday and she said that I really need them. She even sent the insurence company a letter telling them that I really need braces, but they still denied me. I could'nt pay for them out of pocket because I dont have thw money. Is there anythig I could do to get them, maybe a program you could refer me to that what help me get them or something. Please help.

Since I don't know where you live, it is hard to suggest a program for you. There are discount programs available to help with the cost. I'm surprised that your insurance is not participating in this. Usually, the insurance helps to defray the cost, but it doesn't pay it in full. The majority of orthodontists work out a monthly payment plan with their patients over the course of the 24-month treatment, on average.
