Help Please!! I'm going to the dentist tomorrow & theyre going to tell me what needs to be done im positive i
need to get two teeth pulled. I might need lower braces but I doubt it. I'm just worried about the pulling teeth. I've asked a few people if it hurts and only one person said it would hurt. Everyone i asked has had it done before. I just want to know if it will hurt or not and how the procedure is done. Please help. I'm a bit worried. Thank you

As a dentist myself I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about. Your dentist will give you an injection of Lidocaine in your gums that will block the nerve from feeling pain, usually before the injection he/she will rub some oral anesthetic gel similar to orajel on your gums to numb them prior to giving you the injection. The shot only feels like a small pinch and its over before you even know it. The only thing you will feel during the extractions are some pressure as your dentist pulls and pushes to loosen your tooth. Make sure you follow your dentists instructions to prevent dry socket and just take it easy for a few days. Good luck and don't worry, you will be just fine!
