I have to have tooth number 19 pulled tommorow, will it hurt?

please help, im scared

As a dentist myself I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about. Your dentist will give you an injection of Lidocaine in your gums that will block the nerve from feeling pain, usually before the injection he/she will rub some oral anesthetic gel similar to orajel on your gums to numb them prior to giving you the injection. The shot only feels like a small pinch and its over before you even know it. The only thing you will feel during the extractions are some pressure as your dentist pulls and pushes to loosen your tooth. Make sure you follow your dentists instructions to prevent dry socket and just take it easy for a few days. Good luck and don't worry, you will be just fine
