Jaw popping?!
Question: Ever since I could remember, my jaw has popped (or something) when I open my mouth wide. Not if I'm talking or chewing, but if I open it wider than I normally would. What is this?

i had the same issue....
my dentist said that it was because i had been grinding my teeth during the night...
the pain got really bad and they had me get a guard to wear during the night.... now that i wear the guard my jaw doesn't pop anymore and there is no pain

you can buy some mouth guards from CVS and Wallgreens
I had same problem for about a year, now its gone o_O
My jaw does the same thing.
I believe if you have pain or headaches with it it could be a sign of TMJD (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction), but if not there probably isn't anything to worry about. I don't think there's any specific reason for it, some people's jaws can just do that.
