I have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning...?
I am getting a sealing for my teeth. First of all, what is a sealing and how do they do it? Does it hurt? Do they give you any shots or something? I dislike the dentist and I am freaking out about it. What is the dentist doing? HELP

It's called a sealant. It doesn't hurt. Normally no shots are involved. All they do is isolate the tooth that needs the sealant apply some etch it is basically painted on wait a few seconds rinse it off then then apply the sealant which is also painted on and put a curing light that makes the sealant hard and that's it. They may need to file it a little if it is too high. It's basically used to fill in deep grooves in your teeth that can cause cavities because your toothbrush can't get in there to clean it.
