Question about new braces?!

Question about new braces?

I just got braces today and I know about how important it is to keep them clean and everything and my bro had braces too.(off now)I especially know you have to clean them after each meal and before bed.
I figure its ok but...

I was wondering, is it ok if I eat lunch at about 12:00 or so and then brush my teeth right when I get home from school at about 3:00?

You don't absolutley have to brush them after every single thing you eat. I have braces right now, and i have for 10 months so far. I brush mine in the morning and at night. And if you have time during the day, and your teeth feel icky, go brush them, otherwise don't worry about it. Trust me, you'll figure out when you need to brush them and when you don't. Braces after a while are not noticable, ever. So don't worry about it!
