Since having a filling done yesterday, I've had awful pain at the site of inject!
Question:
Since having a filling done yesterday, I've had awful pain at the site of injection. Should I be concerned?
I'm not sure if I have an infection, as I have had a slight low grade temperature of 37.6 since having the filling done. Like I have said, there is the pain and soreness, which is making it slightly uncomfortable to eat. I just don't want to go back to the dentist if I have nothing to be concerned about.
Answers:
I would wait it out for a bit, after all there is some tissue trauma associated with the injection. Keep the area clean, rinse with salt water and take ibuprophen or aspirin as necessary. If you have swelling or numbness give the office a call and good luck!
