I'm getting braces will it hurt?!

Question:

I'm getting braces will it hurt?

Answers:

When I first got mine on, my teeth didn't ache but the metal was a little uncomfortable. Your teeth do ache alot when you get your braces tightened, though(at least for me, but it can be different for different people). The first few days afterward, I'd advise eating soup rather than solid food, since putting pressure on your teeth will hurt. It'll get better after a few days, though, trust me. Advil helps, too. And the metal might hurt the inside of your cheeks after a little while. Wax helps with this, so use that if it really hurts. But, as painful as it sounds, I would advise not wearing it so much and just endure the pain so your gums/cheeks toughen up because its more helpful in the long run. (if its bleeding or something [which it doesn't, at least not for me] or its really bad, then yes, use wax so it can heal.)

I hope I didn't make braces sound too terrible, the'yre really not that bad, you get used to them. Good luck!
