Is there a difference between regular toothpaste and toothpaste labeled "fo!

Question: I just love some of the flavours of kids toothpaste!

Answers: I just love some of the flavours of kids toothpaste!

It is mostly a difference of flavors...
I think the "foaming agent" (usually sodium lauryl sulfate) is decreased...
The most important ingredient in toothpaste is the fluoride... that is the same.

Toothpaste naturally upsets the stomach... Kids eat toothpaste naturally so it is made to not upset their tummys

Kids toothpaste has less "mouthwash" type ingredients in it - the stuff that makes "adult" toothpaste taste sort of ..spicy. They make it less strong to be more tolerable for kids.

yes

i think that kids tooth paste is milder in case they swallow it. i think there may be a negative effect to swallowing toothpaste

Mostly taste as some toothpastes are a bit strong

Kids toothpaste is usually okay to swallow in small quantities while adult toothpaste should not be swallowed at all.

If someone eats a tube of toothpaste, which a kid might, it is harmful and the stomach must be pumped. Kid's toothpaste is lighter on the stomach.

It's mostly the chemicals the distributers (e.g Colgate) put in. I won't mention the chemicals but their purpose is to not be as strong as more effective toothpaste (Colgate Total) and also another difference is the taste. E.g strawberry (Colgate Jr) not strong mint (Colgate Total)

It's practically the same. Childrens may have sugar.

kids toothpaste doesnot contains any powerful ingredients which effects them. Were as in adults toothpaste its not like that powerful ingredients will be there which cleans our teeth.....
u r telling that u like some flavours of kids toothpaste but if u use that paste it will not be useful for adults....
so if u like those flavours very much u just do one thing mrng time u use adults one and at night time u use kids one....
changing like this will not effect ur teeth thats for sure.....

The difference can be in fluoride, not all kids pastes have fluoride for choosy parents. also the different flavors. and usually it is a gel rather than a paste as it is less abrasive on the enamel. but that is it. yes less spice because they dont have spicy flavors. and mmm ya they are good and anyone can use them. i use my son's all the time. i use the one with fluoride.
