Answers:

Try your local dental school. They are good and charge less. I just had my upper fourth tooth pulled and was I shocked of the dentist behavior, I called for the appointment and was told they will need 25-30% of the total bill no more than $240.00. I brought a check of $210. I was called into the room to start the procedure, given a consent form to fill, any questions I asked, I was told talk to the dentis when he comes in. Upon his arrival in the room he talked a little and ask about my insurance which I gave to them at the front desk. He said he needs $450,I thought that was the total charge, I said yes I brought $210, he said no, I need $450 now before I work on you or he will not do it and walked out of the room, I was nervious to say the least and shocked about his attitude I explained to him what I was told when I called, his response was that the girls up front do not discuss payment with the client, only the doctor does and I said if that's the case then when we call, we should talk to the doctor's directly because I asked. I could'nt reach my husband on the phone who was in a meeting at the time, I had to call a friend to put the rest on her charge card. The total was $700+. At first I thought I will just leave, but I've been putting this off and had to take care of it. I told him how his behavior was disturbing and inappropriate to me. This is what we have to deal with even when you have insurance coverage. Good Luck
