Dental Underbite?!

Question: Is cosmetic surgery the only way other than a retainer/braces to fix an underbite???

There is an alternative to surgery, braces, or retainers it's called Invisalign which is a series of clear plastic trays that you wear on your teeth 24 hours a day. It is less obvious than braces, but from what I have been told may take longer than braces. If the appearance of braces is what you are objecting to that is one choice, but if you are set on surgery talk to an orthodontist and ask him to refer you to the best specialist in your area. www.yellowpages.com is a website to find people/bussinesses/things in your area.

No, you could have surgery done by an oral surgeon other than cosmetic.

I had it done years ago, when I had a jaw issue. looks fine now.

If you have insurance, see a oral doctor. They can get this approved for a medical reason.

If you have a bad under bite there is not allot braces can do.
