Endodontics vs. GP dentistry?!

Question: What kind of specialized equipment would an endodontist need that a GP office wouldn't have? Also, what kind of considerations would need to be made with respect to the office?

Endodontists usually have microscopes in their offices so that they can see the canals better. You don't have to have a microscope to do root canals, but in the endodontist case, they are going to be referred the more difficult cases with highly calcified canals, so having the scope helps them in treatment. Definately have rotary handpieces and different gutta percha materials - for vertical condensation and what not.

As to the considerations for they type of office, it depends on the endodontist. How large the rooms are, how many, depends on the size of the practice, and the location, and the clientele

they just do more over the stuff, like root canals and gum cutting etc.. they have about the same stuff
