Be honest with him and tell him.

The main reasons for bad breath is bacteria in the mouth. If he doesn't get his teeth cleaned every 6 months, he could just need a good cleaning. Another huge thing is having him brush his tongue. Bacteria and plaque get stuck between your taste buds on your tongue (your tongue can look like it has a white coating on it). Request him trying to brush his tongue daily or use a tongue scraper that you can get at any store. He has to get as far back as he can.

Another reason for bad breath is post-nasal drip. If he has sinus problems or is sick with a cold, the mucous from your nose runs down the back of your throat and causes bad breath. Some people have chronic post-nasal drip, and there's not much you can do about that. But if he's sick, and that is the cause, the bad breath should be temporary.

Mints, gums, mouth rinses will just cover up the odor temporarily. It's best to get to the root of the problem and resolve it that way.

If he is in need of a lot of dental treatment like fillings, etc., it could be odor of the bacteria in the decayed areas on his teeth. Or if he has periodontal disease (any type of bone loss/gum disease), that has a certain odor as well.

tell him to go to the dentist and if he doesn`t give him breath mints say you love your teeth and you always use them so he probably will to

honestly just tell him. i told my boyfriend that the other night and i felt so bad and yeah he seemed embarrased and i was like well dont you feel better that i told you (and i gave him gum) and he was like well yeah i guess. and i was like its okay mine sucks too lol

next time you see your boyfriend, maybe you should chew some gum and offer him a piece. i've done that before when i was in a similar situation. a lot of times the guy refuses the gum even tho its a REALLY obvious hint. haha

but if he takes the gum, lucky you. i know bad breath is horrible to deal with.

Oh my god! I had the same problem. I finally had to tell him. I felt really bad because he was soooo embarrassed but he said he was glad I told him....maybe you should just be honest with him.

Offer him gum...I love orbit in the pink pack. My bf smokes and I dont therefore to me his breath is horrible and I open the gum up and take a piece and pop it in my mouth and then offer him some, it works every time! However, I would bring up in conversation brushing teeth and tell him you brush several times a day and ask him how often he does....he probably needs to see a dentist, he may have severe cavities. Good luck!

yeah get gum! trident or orbit works the best because they are like tooth pastes in a gum. and yyeah you shoulld chew it and then offer one to you bf and then he wont even know!

I think you are going to have to tell him, but I'm equally sure he doesn't want to have this condition and will be embarrassed but pleased that you've had the courage to tell him.

Lots of reason why he might have bad breath. Most of the bacteria that cause mouth odor hide in the crevices and nooks and crannies round the gum line. He needs to go to the dentist and get a thorough check over.

I'm assuming he doesn't eat lots of raw garlic or anything like that!

A "good bacteria" called Streptococcus salivarius k12 is good for bad breath. You can buy it from drug stores. The pack includes a mouthwash that kill all the existing bacteria and then you replace it with the k12 strain. It does work but he would probably have to keep taking it.

Anything that dries the mouth out can cause bad breath. Things like smoking, drinking, and snoring with the mouth open.

Being told this is going to hurt him - but if you love him, you'll have to do it.

Good luck.

I'm sorry to sound mean but i heard that what you eat has something to do with bad breath and then again your man may really need to see a dentist, cause it may be a gum infection or a bad tooth.shoot just tell him if he loves you he wont be angry he should be grateful your telling him before someone on the streets would be ignorant and say it mean.but that's jmo.

if you tell him he will prob get really embarrasses. but on the other hand he will prob keep it so clean and fresh to avoid the embarrassment again. but if you Carnot tell him keep offering chewing gum and mints. good luck x
