Can an 11 year old get veeners?!

Question: i really need em and don't want to get braces

Answers: i really need em and don't want to get braces

It wouldn't be a good idea since your adult teeth have not all come in and the adult teeth that have come in already have not fully erupted into your mouth. This means that where the veneer used to go to the gums may not be your gum line anymore (in a few years). You would have a space between your gums and the veneer and inbetween would be natural tooth structure that has since erupted from under the gum. Veneers also have a life of 15-20 years, so theoretically have to have them replace three or more times during your lifetime. It is best, if possible, to keep your natural tooth and work with that. In your case it sounds like that would be braces. I know they aren't fun nor attractive but it is the best long term solution for straightening. Good luck.

I don't think so. They give veeners to older people.

Veneers are usually used to repair cracks and chips, or cover severe discoloration (and generally only on permanent teeth, so I doubt your dentist would be willing to do them). Braces are meant to straighten your teeth and correct your bite. If you need braces, veneers won't do anything at all to fix those problems.

I know braces suck, but trust me the day you get them off it is SO worth it. Why would you want fake teeth when you can get yours perfect? And another thing, nearly EVERYONE in my school had them. Literally. Like 9 out of 10 kids.

Veneers would need to be replaced after your permanent teeth come in. At age 11 you would be better off with braces. If you want to change the shape or appearance of one or two teeth you might want to ask the dentist about cosmetic bonding instead. It's cheaper and no tooth structure is taken away. Remember your smile is a lifetime investment, if your parents have the money for braces, Get them!!!
