What are the side effects of aspartame?!

Question: in gum?

Answers: in gum?

One of the most controversial ingestibles out there. I say "ingestible" because it certainly is not a food!

The product passed Food and Drug Administration testing FRAUDULENTLY. North Americans have a huge appetite for artificial sweeteners so the product made it to market even though it clearly showed nasty side effects during scientific studies.

Note that the SIGNIFICANT INCREASE in BRAIN TUMOURS corresponds with the introduction of ASPARTAME into the North American diet!!!

The question I cannot answer for you is "How much do you have to consume for it to be harmful?" To that I would respond "Why consume any?" There is only 10 calories in a teaspoon of sugar. 10!!! That's NOTHING!

If chewing gum is your thing, look for SPLENDA. I am not a huge fan of Splenda either because they substituted a healthy component in sugar with CHLORINE to make Splenda. Still, studies show it is "safer" than Aspartame.

Sugar has adopted a very UNDESERVED bad reputation.

Clinically proven none. Go ahead and enjoy aspartame, just remember to brush twice daily and floss once.

You probably wouldn't get enough in your system from chewing gum to create side effects, unless you chewed huge amounts.

You could google this question for a variety of answers from many sources.

My personal experience? When I stopped smoking I started using sugar-free popsicles as my oral fixation. Unfortunately, they were sweetened with aspartame. Granted, I did consume a large quantity, but I experienced horrendous arthritis-like pain and cramping in my hands; I couldn't open bottles, I was in pain all the time. It stopped when I stopped eating the popsicles.

Aspartame is really scary stuff and has been banned in many European countries. It has been proven to cross the blood-brain barrier and interferes with neurotransmitters. it has lots of health problems associated with it.
Look it up--- it will scare the crap out of you.
