Swollen gums in the wisdom tooth area?!

Question:

Swollen gums in the wisdom tooth area?

After I ate last night, I noticed there was this bothersome piece of food far back behind my last molar and the gum behind it. I thought I got rid of it but then a few hours later it started to swell up. I can't really get behind there to floss. I can't quite bite down properly. what do I do? Will it go away on its own?

Answers:

i would rinse with hydrogen peroxide until you can get an appointment with your dentist.
