Question about crest whitening strips?!
Question: Ok, I was wondering if anyone knows about the crest whitening strips.
I just purchased the complete package from Costco and on the instructions it says to only use them for 5 minutes. I know that if you use them too much they can eventually eat away the enamel of your teeth. However, I'm thinking 5 minutes is really not enough time for the strips to actually be effective and that its just Crest's way of making money by making the consumer go through them faster so they continue to buy them.
By the way, one box is $40.
What do you guys think? I was thinking at least 10-20mins. I've heard there are other programs out there that you leave them on all night but I know that would not be good.

i used to use them at night while i washed my face and things like that...i probably left them on for 7-10 minutes. they honestly do make your teeth sting and feel really weak the next day if you leave them on too long...try not to leave them on for more than ten minutes and definitely don't do them every day. maybe every other or even three times a week will do. good luck.

I use them all the time myself and dont seem to have any problems. I mostly use them when I hop in the shower, so Im thinking that's between 15-20 minutes each. I never have left them on for just 5 minutes...
Use them as directed. You will get optimum results this way.
Studies show that if you follow over the counter whitening strips directions as directed they will be just as effective as in office bleaching systems that are much more expensive.
They will not eat away at the enamel, but overuse may cause sensitivity. Follow the directions as written. They will work just fine.
